After premiering at the BFI London Film festival, and at our #FilmFunding Edition screening (in partnership with the BFI Network) last week, Koby Adom’s ‘Haircut’ is named the official Short of the Week.
Set in the heart of South London with a huge demographic of both African and Caribbean residents living side by side, Adom presents a gritty storyline, with emotional attachments surrounding the number one place Black men love – their barbershop.
Starring ‘Top Boy’ Malcolm Kamulete, Cj Beckford (‘Small Island’, ‘Pack of Wolves’), Weruche Opia (‘Just A Couple’, ‘When Love Happens’) and Jason Yorke, ‘Haircut’ sets Adom as one of the exciting arising filmmakers coming from the UK.
