“I see the blocks falling down like autumn leaves collapsing from top to bottom.”
Blueprint Pictures founder Joelle Mae David presents a politically poetic short film that has rapper and poet OSOM (aka John Akinde) that deals with the bittersweet effects of regeneration.
There’s bleak undertone of a new world being form that doesn’t see minority and working-class fit in – you know, the hippy urban white savvy worker… and OSOM narrates his frustration on the fact that the memories, history and diverse culture that surrounds these old current blocks also goes away with the demolition as well.
